Talking Galleries

TALKING GALLERIES, the first international meeting for gallery directors, will be held in Barcelona on 19, 20 and 21 September 2011. It aims to offer a meeting place for industry professionals that goes above and beyond the commercial side of art to focus on exploring and debating central issues of common interest. The talks will be given by gallerists and other agents in the art market from over eleven different countries representing the major art capitals in the world.

The venue

Talking Galleries will take place in the Auditorium at the Barcelona Contemporary Art Museum (MACBA), an international benchmark that houses an important collection of contemporary art works. Designed by US architect Richard Meier, the building is located right in the centre of Barcelona in the bustling Raval neighbourhood, surrounded by a wealth of galleries, institutions and art centres.
